CRE TravelingProfessionals working in corporate real estate (CRE) are in high demand at various on-site locations and must always be in contact with clients and customers. Having reliable mobile communication  is key. Many CRE professionals understand the importance of a high-quality Bluetooth headset that promotes mobile connectivity and allows for hands free communication.

There are numerous Bluetooth headsets available from a variety of manufacturers. It may be confusing to determine which model is best and which will be of the most benefit to CRE professionals. The technology experts at CNET.com, a leading technology information and review site, have identified the top Bluetooth headsets for performance, reliability and durability. Their top rankings include:

Jawbone Era Headset

Jawbone has been manufacturing Bluetooth headsets since 2007 but previous models pale in comparison to the Era. The updates on this year's model are incredible. In addition to its sleek and attractive design the Era boasts HD quality audio, a caller ID feature that identifies callers by name, and an embedded accelerometer.  The accelerometer is controlled by motion sensing software and is operated by the user gently tapping or shaking the headset. The wideband speaker allows for better noise reduction and some of the clearest audio on the market.

Motorola Finiti Headset

One of the few models on the market with bone conduction technology, the Finiti is able to translate the vibration of the user's jaw into speech. This is highly beneficial in extremely noisy situations but the Finiti also offers CrystalTalk noise cancellation for reducing background noise in everyday use. The reviewers found the call quality to be excellent and were also impressed with the text reading Android app. Once this app is downloaded to an Android device it can transmit and read incoming text messages.

BlueAnt Q2 Headset

The BlueAnt Q2 impressed reviewers with its slender profile and high quality voice control interface. This interface provides text to speech capabilities and easy access to Bing's 411 services. When the BlueAnt Q2 is paired with either a Samsung Intercept or Apple 3/4G it will automatically download up to 2,000 contacts for use in the caller ID feature. When a call comes in from a contact it will announce "Call from..." to alert the user.

Plantronics Voyager Pro Headset

Plantronics released its first Bluetooth headset a decade ago and continues to make upgrades and improvements as technology changes. The Voyager Pro is their most advanced headset to date and employs a new ability to detect whether it is on or off the ear. This allows the user to answer a call just by putting the headset on. The noise reduction capabilities are also impressive and blocks out background noise significantly while in use.

Jabra Supreme Headset

This headset boasts impressive voice dialing capabilities and provides the user additional hands free controls. A series of commands is used to direct the Bluetooth such as "redial", "pair with new device", and "phone commands". The phone commands prompt connects the user to a menu of phone functions to choose from. When a call comes in the user can respond with "answer" or "ignore" to direct the phone. Other notable features are excellent noise canceling technology and a large volume range.

Choosing a Bluetooth headset is all about knowing exactly which features you will need. Determine ahead of time which features are a must have and seek out a headset that matches your specifications. Using a high quality Bluetooth headset will boost your connectivity and elevate your CRE business.
