Green building, as typified by LEED certified projects, has reached a point of ubiquity where it is almost the same thing regular building. According to the US Green Building Council, who is in charge of the LEED standard, 2015 will see LEED projects make up as much as 48 percent of all of the nonresidential construction in America. LEED certified retrofits, which turn existing buildings into green ones, are likely to make up up to 33 percent of the retrofit activity in 2015. Here are some of the markets where new and retrofitted LEED buildings are likely to pop up in 2015.
